L&C Lab

Fruit of their first collaboration and research on recycled and reused products, ‘‘Biomater’’ is a poetic and sculptural eco-installation project anchored in nowadays world preoccupation. 

Inspired by natural growth processes observed in the plant kingdom, the work revolves around the concept of the coexistence of humans with nature.
The designers collect materials of plant origin in their environment, such as fruit peels and seaweeds picked from the coasts of Chile. A special drying and sealing treatment makes the components light and durable, allowing the piece to last over time without denying the project's fundamental principles toward the planet. The natural pigments constituting the multicolor dye blend with the original colors and offer surprising shades, magnifying these beautiful organic forms.
Bringing fresh air and wisdom from the southern hemisphere, L&C Lab reveal with "Biomater" a sense of hope in a world falling apart.

The project was first presented in June 2022 at the Revelations, International Biennial of Crafts and Creation in Paris, France.
